Learning is Messy is an awesome blog.  I really enjoyed digging around and looking through this blog and what Brian’s classroom is doing throughout the year.  One thing that I really liked was the Links to My Students’ Work. On this page is listed: Our Class Blog, Class Wiki Page, “Inclusion” Video Project, and other projects of the class. I really like browsing around the Class Blog. On this page, the teacher has discussion questions posted for his students to respond, a link to each students’ page and other student entries.  It is really cool to see that his students can get involved with other classmates not only at school but at home as well through the internet. It is a great way for students to engage with each other and get to know them better as well. This blog inspires me to have a blog for my future classroom as well.  It is a neat way for students to collaborate with each other and a blog also provides resources for other teachers.

About Jessica Harms

I am a student at Kansas State University majoring in Elementary Education with a concentration in Mathematics. I am also getting a Minor in Music. I plan on graduating Spring 2013. I am passionate about children and being able to have an influence in their lives. I have always wanted to become a teacher ever since I was a little girl. Many of my elementary teachers had such a positive impact on my life and they influenced me to want to do the same. As a teacher, changing one child's life for the better will definitely be worth it. I can't wait to become an educator, have my own classroom that I can make into a positive learning environment, and help children enhance their knowledge and perform to their best abilities.
